Laurence Juma, is a Professor of International Law and Deputy Dean, Faculty of Law, Rhodes University. Prior to joining Rhodes, he has taught as a full time lecturer at Nairobi University, National University of Lesotho, and Fort Hare University. He has also held visiting positions in Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and the Danish Centre for Human Rights, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has authored of two books and published extensively in internationally renowned academic journals on various aspects of human rights, conflict studies, security regulation, refugee law and international criminal law. He currently serves on the editorial boards of a number of academic journals and is a member of several international professional associations.
